I also have the free version of Adobe Reader 8, but I need to be able to click and drag PDF pages into other PDFs, which I can only do with Acrobat Pro. The notice reappears several times after I click the OK button, then closes Acrobat. as well as re-installing Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional from the Adobe CS3 Master collection CD, and still no luck. I have searched for the folders on my machine but with no luck. But to be clear: this use case is deprecated and will not work for much longer.
